Psychotherapy

My approach is to support people to develop compassion and understanding towards themselves and others. Often we are in an inner and outer struggle where we are at war with ourselves.  I will work with you to help you make sense of this struggle and to be able to hold all parts, to embrace the totality of the situation.  When we can accept and make sense of what we feel, we become more flexible in how we relate both to ourselves and others. I first trained in Gestalt and then in Integrative Psychotherapy at bcpc, and more recently I am influenced by Benjamin's idea of mutual recognition, (Benjamin, 1990).
